In 2004, Tabitha Lenox realized there is a greater need for the Registered Dietitian Nutritionists in the community setting actually reduce the prevalence of disease in Texas. With interactions with people of all ages, education levels, and backgrounds, Tabitha realized two common occurrences 1) Americans are intelligent and already know what is healthy (what to eat) the need is to train on how to eat; and 2) with life and other circumstance people are in need of practical methods to implement healthy messages.
As a Dietitian in Functional and Integrative Medicine, Tabitha sees a variety patients ranging from those who have AD/HD, diabetes, high blood pressure, altered metabolic states, and unintended weight gain/loss. We train the people on how to turn off the genes of the inflammatory response in the body by training on the healthy portions in an innovative, applicable method of nutrition intervention created from evidence-based practices and with feedback from our program participants.
Upon completing graduate school at Sam Houston State University, Masters In Dietetics, L.L.C. was formed as a Community Based Dietetic Group Practice designed to help people learn how to develop a healthy relationship with food and dissolve the unrealistic perceptions of healthy eating.
Our practice has been blessed to have patients, business professionals, dietetic interns and health care practitioners review and contribute to the development, design, and implementation of our wellness programs including: 96 Diabetes Program, the Body Success Program, and our newly restructured Food Freedom Program where Together we abolish inclinations of healthy eating being hard, overbearing, and impractical in today's society.
We contract with other health care organizations/facilities and provide customized Medical Nutrition Therapy for their members and patients. We are able to work with employees, families and community groups to provide health educations
